The clay modelling for the Austins figurine definitely didnt go as planned, but it allowed me to understand the object placement and proportion.
This may not look like the sketches as much as i wouldve wanted it too, but the shapes, were a seriously necessary resource when it came to actually 3D modelling this figurine with 3D Max.
You can see clay modelling photos in SKETCHBOOK, but as i said, they didnt turn out great as a final product.
This also allowed me to work on measurements, up to this point i only had a rough idea how big the model would be, like the size of a medium figurine. The clay model however i made roughly to the approx life size id want the figurine to be made as if it were ever to be created outside 3d max, this also allowed me to work with actual measurements come 3D Max time, rather than just guesses and it turning out overly wonky.
