Theres only so far one can go without some kind of feedback, and critique time (as scary as it is, i know) is the best time to get honest opinions, other wise you are bomarded with the usual 'aw thats great' comments if and when you show anyone your work. So as horrible as it is talking about your work in front of people, its best to present your work.... just hope nobody rips you to shreds.
Although i wasnt chosen this critique time i got plenty of feedback from peers and the tutor before and after the presentations. below are some initial digital renders i created of my almost developed Veepees.
He was received well, but i was in agreement with them about the pose and how he is lacking something... i explained the pose he will be in and the current designs of the obsession representation (needle) im currently working on, that seemed to satisfy everyone else, but i think ill take it that step further, ive been contemplating it from the initial ideas, but now that Veepees is finished i think i can take the emotive design that step further and create an appropriate environment, after all the good artists and movie makers know its the scene and atmosphere that really convey the emotions more so than any actor or character, it will bring it to a whole new level of eotive design. However i still want to include Jekyll and Hydes lightening somewhere.
