Journey into a childs incredible imagination

Artist Dave DeVries has explored the imagination of children and depicting their ideas through his own visualisation. His work has been exhibited under the title the Monster Engine

This whole brief is based on the works of artist Dave DeVries, he creates illustrations based on young childrens original drawings, bringing them to a whole new level.
examples of which you can find at the above link.

Because i choose Veepees and this whole brief is inspired by DeVries work, i created an initial ideas mock up over Tom Magees original Veepees drawing using photoshop.

This has given me a better understanding what the final result would look like at this point, and allowed me to see what changes id like to make, what suits and what doesn't.
One of the biggest things i notice that i want to change first and foremost is his posture.
The pose would be a big aspect of the emotive design, obviously a sinister character couldnt be too scary if he was in a huggable pose, or a cuddely character in a hunched over scary pose, the emotive design would just seem off.

So the next thing to develop would be the pose of Veepees for proper emotive design.
